Ali Znaidi- A Poem

A New Summer

this is the beginning:
the day starts to extend
his hands

the day stretches like rubber

an ongoing headache

the incandescent sunlight
thunderstrikes my eyes

a new summer, sirocco,
mirage, illusion

what you can’t h/ear
ants shaking the ground
