Tamara Turner- Poem & Photo

Dead Rabbit

Stories both told and written
Are artifacts left behind
To be retold and discerned
Like a recipe for homemade salsa
From years past stealing base
Ideas from one another
The telling and rebirthing
Weddings and gnomes
Names and rings
Begins and begins again
Symbols on fences
Inside the city of Normal
Rinsing blood
Amour scratches
Waiting for birds
Enough weeds to
Feed the world
Killing is easy
Learning to get along
Therein lies the difficulty

Tamara loves to animal watch, people watch, and cloud watch wherever she lives - currently in Southern California.
