Richard Schnap- A Poem

CHANGING TEAMS

He used to pass by
On chilly days
In a parka from
The Dallas Cowboys

As if in his mind
He was riding a horse
Straight into the
Heart of the sunset

But now he moves
With slower steps
In a parka from
The New Orleans Saints

As if he can hear
The tolling of bells
He never seemed
To notice before
